  • Registered Nurse position at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center
  • Unit accommodates 1st timers with 2 years experience
  • Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope
  • Special procedures include pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries, titration of drips, sheath pulling at bedside
  • Potential for med-surg overflow cases
  • Special equipment includes telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, wound vacs
    • Job Requirements
    • Current/valid Drivers License/State ID or government photo ID required
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required if certification expires within 30 days of start
    • State License Verification required within 30 days of start
    • NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start
      • Schedule Information
      • Every other holiday
      • Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
      • Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests
