They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide critical diagnostic information used to guide patient care and treatment.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n

  • Perform and interpret diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, cardiac, and vascular studies.\n
  • Prepare and position patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety during the examination.\n
  • Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure the proper functioning of imaging systems.\n
  • Analyze ultrasound images and provide detailed reports of findings to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions.\n
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting imaging results and clinical data.\n
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective patient care.\n
  • Educate patients and families about the purpose of ultrasound procedures, results, and what to expect during exams.\n
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control practices, and quality assurance standards.\n
  • Perform routine maintenance on ultrasound equipment and escalate issues as needed.\n
  • Participate in continuing education and stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques.\n

    • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.\n
    • Certification:\n

      • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) preferred.\n
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.\n\n\n
